The JRCC API Guidelines seek to inform and apprise aviation and maritime carriers transmitting Advance Passenger Information for passenger and Crew members arriving in or departing from any country within the region of the data requirements and method of transmission that have to be observed in the transmission of API to the JRCC on behalf of each member states.
What is APIS
Advance Passenger Information (API) is data provided to the Joint Regional Communications Centre (JRCC) prior to the arrival and departure of an aircraft or vessel at each port of entry in participating Member States. It contains a complete list of persons (crew and passengers) on board including their biographic data and carrier information.
Legislation has been enacted which provides for the mandatory submission of Advance Passenger Information to be transmitted to the ten (10) participating Member States, for ALL Air and Sea Carriers arriving at, and departing from each Member State.
The JRCC has been nominated by all participating states as the agent/ representative for the collection/collation and vetting of API for ALL Air and Sea Carriers arriving at, and departing from each Member State.
